Changing Pickup Settings on the Tablet






Go to the Ecoeats Orders tablet app > Settings > Pickup Settings.






Manage menu and stock on the tablet






Go to the Ecoeats Orders tablet app > Settings > View Menu.


For each item you can select from three availability settings:



Available - Visible and orderable


Unavailable - Visible but not orderable today; will become orderable again tomorrow.


Hidden - Not visible and not orderable. Until this setting is changed, the item will remain not visible and not orderable. Useful for long term out of stock or discontinued items.




Use the search bar and filter settings to find items in long menus quickly.


Our tablets will not link with other stock management systems without custom integration.





Printing Receipts from your Tablet





The printer accepts: 57 x 40mm Thermal Receipt Paper Rolls.



 



You can customise your printer settings to print 0, 1 or 2 receipts for each order via Ecoeats Orders tablet app > Settings > Auto Print Receipts.


You can also print additional receipts for an order by finding the order (via the home screen or the Order History page in Settings) and pressing the print button.

Set up Sunmi V2 tablet





Here is your step by step guide to setting up a Sunmi V2 tablet.



Lift the coloured lid at the top of the device and insert the receipt roll.


Connect the tablet to a power source using the provided adapter. You may need to leave the tablet to charge for up to 1 hour before it will have sufficient charge to power on.


Hold the power key until the screen turns on.


Complete the set up instructions provided on the tablet. You can skip the Sunmi Register step. You will be prompted to connect the tablet to your wifi network


Once you have completed the initial setup and the tablet has configured itself, tap: settings > display > sleep and ensure this is set to 'never'.


Return to the main menu of the settings app and go to Device > Apps > Ecoeats Orders > Notifications. Toggle Override Do Not Disturb.


Press the circle icon to return to the home screen.


If you do not see the Ecoeats Orders app, swipe to the second page of apps.


If you see two Ecoeats Orders app icons, do not worry, it is only installed once. You can click either icon to enter the app. Please do not try to delete the app or either of the icons.


Open the Ecoeats Orders app. Wait for 10 seconds before entering your login details; the app may restart a few times on first opening.


Log in using the details provided to the owner of the account.


Configure the app settings to your liking, check your stock and turn on the accept orders switch.


That's it! You'll be live on the Ecoeats app during your chosen opening hours. You'll be notified of any orders. Just be sure to keep the tablet charged, powered on and with the Ecoeats Orders app open.

Sound or notification issues with the tablet






Open the Settings app > Device > Sound.


Ensure both the Media and Ring volumes are at greater than 50% and make a loud noise when you adjust the slider.


If you do not hear a sound for either of the above tests, change the Phone ringtone setting and the Default notification ringtone setting and try again.


Proceed to Step 6 of tablet troubleshooting if you still do not hear a sound.


If you do hear a sound, follow these additional steps:


Go to the main menu of the settings app > Device > Apps > Ecoeats Orders > Notifications.


Toggle Override Do Not Disturb.


You should now hear Ecoeats Orders app notifications regardless of whether the tablet has been put into Do Not Disturb mode.





Tablet won't turn on






Charge the tablet for at least 1 hour using the provided power adapter.


Hold the power key on the left hand side of the device for 10 seconds or until the device turns on.


Still not turning on? The power adapter or plug socket may be faulty. Try to charge another device from the plug socket. Charge the tablet using another compatible charger for at least one hour before repeating step 2.

Troubleshooting the Tablet





Before troubleshooting, consider whether any of the other articles here can assist you first.


If the issue is sound or notifications related, view this article first.


If the tablet will not turn on, view this article.


After each step, check if the tablet app is working for you. If it is, you do not need to proceed with the subsequent steps.


Step 1: Hard restart the app.



Ecoeats Orders tablet app > Setting > Restart App.



Step 2: Check the tablet is connected to the internet.



Pull down from the top of the screen.


Hold the wifi symbol until you are taken to the wifi settings.


Check the tablet is connected to wifi.


Sometimes the tablet is connected to wifi but the wifi router is not connected to the internet.


Press the circle symbol at the bottom of the screen.


Confirm the connection by opening the app called App Store.


If you are connected to the internet, page content will load.



Step 3: Check the Ecoeats Orders app settings are correct.



Check through all of the in app settings via Ecoeats Orders tablet app > Settings. Ensure all of your settings are set correctly. In particular, confirm whether you are within your listed opening hours and that your Pickup Settings are correct.



Step 4: Restart the tablet



Hold the power button on the left side of the tablet.


Press Power Off.



Step 5: Delete the app cache and data.



Press the circle symbol at the bottom of the screen.


Open the Settings app.


Go to Device > Apps > Ecoeats Orders > Storage


Click Clear cache


Click Clear data > Ok


Press the circle symbol at the bottom of the screen.


Reopen the Ecoeats Orders app (you will need to log in again).



Step 6: Restart the tablet again.



Hold the power button on the left side of the tablet.


Press Power Off.



Step 7: Factory reset the tablet.



Press the circle symbol at the bottom of the screen.


Open the Settings app.


Go to Personal > Reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone

Step 8: Restart the tablet again.



Hold the power button on the left side of the tablet.


Press Power Off.
